“Hannah Montana” Comes to an End

“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus and dad Billy Ray Cyrus have announced that Season 4 of the show will be the last.

Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” is finally coming to an end, reports “Access Hollywood.” Disney is going to wrap things up after the fourth season of the show airs next year, says star Miley Cyrus and dad and co-star, Billy Ray Cyrus.

In an interview for “Access Hollywood” and “The Billy Bush Show,” Billy Ray Cyrus said that the cast is returning for the fourth season of “Hannah Montana” at Miley’s request. They have just finished shooting the end of season three.

“Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year,” Billy Ray said. “She didn’t want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to ‘Hannah Montana.’”

Although the actress just did not want it to end without a moral to the story, the 16-year-old actress still has a contract to fulfill with the Disney Channel.

The new season will start shooting at the end of January of 2010 and will be expected to air sometime after June 2010.
