Rate-a-Trailer: Does Drew Barrymore Whip It Good?

Given that Drew Barrymore has spent most of her life on movie sets, it seems only natural that she'd be tempted to take a trip behind the camera for a change. Which is just what the actress did for Whip It, her directorial debut, opening Oct. 9. Sure, she's given herself a small part, but hey, you can do that when you're pulling the strings, right?

Anyway, looking at the film's trailer, we see Ellen Page playing Ellen Page Bliss, a Texas teen who inadvertently finds a way to rebel against her beauty-pageant-pushing mom when she discovers the rough-and-tumble world of roller derby. Then again, we'd be willing to risk a few bumps and bruises too if it meant the chance to hang out with the likes of Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon and Daniel Stern.

So, will you be strapping on your skates and gliding over to the multiplex for this one, or simply staying home with Kansas City Bomber?

Demi Lovato & Trace Cyrus: Twittermancing IRL

Twitter lovers Demi Lovato and Metro Station front man (or, more importantly, Miley Cyrus' 20-year-old brother) Trace Cyrus have been @ replying each other with flirty tweets for a while now.

Last time we checked in on the two, there were lots of she would tweet while he would echo her enthusiasm: "@ddlovato so soon! I'm so ready to get home to you."

And then it happened. They were both in the same city and could finally talk in person rather than bothering the whole Twitterverse with their sweet nothings. "@ddlovato I've been looking forward to today for so long now. It feels like it's taken years," Trace wrote.

So what did the two do with their precious days together before Trace was scheduled to fly off to Virginia to tattoo one of his last remaining open spaces of clean skin?

They cut back on the twittering and were "hanging out every day," according to a source.

They saw Transformers at Universal CityWalk, and sources add, "They have been watching a lot of movies at his house as well."

Then, on the day he was to leave, Demi tearfully twittered, "Please don't leave.... You just got here.. :(" And just like that, his plane's door broke and he got an extra day in L.A.

Trace has since left behind his darling and embarked on a new tour. But always remember, Demi, "You already know your becoming the lyrics to my songs."

Ryan Seacrest = Highest-Paid Reality Host Ever!

He hasn't nabbed that Primetime Emmy yet, but Ryan Seacrest has landed himself one hell of a consolation prize: The biggest pay raise in reality-TV history.

The American Idol emcee has signed a whopping $45 million contract extension with the show's coproducer CKX's 19 Entertainment, and he'll continue lording over the top-rated talent competition for another three years.

So how much of a pay hike is it?

Seacrest's new deal dwarfs the $5 million-a-season salary the 34-year-old currently earns. It also keeps him on Idol through 2012 and makes him the highest-paid reality host—ever.

In addition, he'll have more freedom to develop new projects with 19 and Idol mastermind Simon Fullerunder his Ryan Seacrest Productions banner.

"I'm truly appreciative of being part of a show that has had such an enormous impact on popular culture across all ages," said Seacrest. "I look forward to expanding the relationship with Simon Fuller and [CKX chairman] Bob Sillerman, who share the same visionary approach to entertainment media that I strive for with every project."

Added Fuller: "Ryan is an essential ingredient to American Idol's success, and I am so happy that we will continue our relationship beyond 'Idol' into the future. Ryan is without doubt one of American television's most talented stars."

Seacrest, who, of course, also anchors E! News, hosts a daily radio show and American Top 40 and helps shepherd Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, leaked the big news this morning to fans online.

"Very excited about locking in a deal to host Idol for this season and the following 2," he twittered.

Seacrest also predicted all of the American Idol judges will be back next year as well. Paula Abdul andKara DioGuardi's contracts expired at the end of last season and both are currently in negotiations for renewals. Cowell and Randy Jackson are signed for one more season.

Think the foursome will use Seacrest's hefty salary increase as leverage for their own contract demands?

Singer Apologize To His Fans

Seems like one singer who has loyal fans is Cole Carson, after yesterday's news revealed from leading polish newspaper that the singer wasnt married to polish actress Anna Cieslak, it is revealed that the singer and the polish star were doing little publicity for their shoot of upcoming movie called Niemiecki żołnierz.

The singer later admitted that he was never married, to the polish actress, it was just a publicity stunt, Anna is already married with some businessman in Poland.

"I know its bad, I apologize my fan for letting them down, but they have to understand we wanted more people to notice about this movie not only in Europe but also in United States. Any publicity is a useful source to promote something good."

Even the singer was suprised when he saw that all the fans already forgiven the 2-Time Grammy winner. The singer thanked his fans for showing the support.

Cole gets friends help, in casting his first home production movie.

Cole Carson quoted on his blog, that he has decided to delay the launch of his first Home Production to December 2009. The reason due to which this happen is that the singer has yet to find the leading actress and leading actor are yet to be auditioned.

Cole Carson is set to be heading towards Los Angeles next month to start the shoot of his home production's first movie Geek Civilization.

Cole Carson's agent has revealed that movie's budget would be low, and the shoot is going to begin in 1st week of August.

American Born-Indian Model Amrit Maghera who would be part of the video shoot for Cole Carson's new album New Journey has also agreed to do the role in the movie.

Entourage: Meet E's New Bohemian Gal-Pal

Get ready for a love triangle on the new season of Entourage.

E (Kevin Connolly) is not only hooking up with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), but he'll also be romancing Ashley, a non-Industry beauty played by newcomer Alexis Dziena.

"I'm not sure how serious it gets," Dzeina tells me of E and Ashley's relationship. "But I can tell you that I'm around and we have fun together."

Dziena promises Ashley pops up throughout the season, which premieres Sunday on HBO...

"She's a jeweler," Dziena says. "She's somewhat bohemian, but not bohemian to the point where she doesn't shave her legs. She's a character who only wears her own jewelry and works only with natural materials.

"She's someone very different for E. There's a very big juxtaposition between Ashley and the other girls you may have seen E with."

Meanwhile, on the big screen, Dziena will next be seen opposite Josh Duhamel and Kristen Bell in the romantic comedy When in Rome. But her friends can forget about trying to use her to get to Duhamel.

"He's married!" Dziena says. "Yeah, he's beautiful to look at, but you can see him on TV...If they say, 'Introduce me,' I'm like, 'Uh-uh! Hands off!' "

What the heiress meant, when she testified Friday in federal court, was that she did her best to promote the lackluster, straight-to-DVD 2006 comedy Pledge This!, but that she could only do so much for a movie that wasn't that great in the first place.

"If I have my name attached to something, I want it to be as big as it can be," Hilton, who is being sued for breach of contract by an attorney who represents the film's investors, said in court Friday.

"It could have been a lot better if it was done more professionally. I wanted it to do as well as possible," she said.

Remember, this is coming from a woman who once made quite a splash in the at-home entertainment market.

Attorney Michael Goldberg, who was appointed a trustee for World Wide Entertainment after it turned out to be a Ponzi scheme, filed suit against Hilton last August in an attempt to recoup some cash for those who invested in the sham operation.

He contends that Hilton was paid $1 million to star as a sorority president in Pledge This! and duly promote the flick, and that the BFF-seeking socialite totally dropped the ball when it came to the latter.

But Hilton said today that it's not her fault if she doesn't know where she is or what she's doing from one moment to the next.

"My people handle my schedule," the 28-year-old multihyphenate said. "I'm a brand. I'm a businesswoman. I have 13 different product lines. I'm always working."

And she's apparently always searching for a new best friend: Hilton gave U.S. District Court Judge Federico Moreno a little wave as she walked to the witness box. She also touched up her makeup multiple times while sitting at the defense table.

"I've never had a witness wave at me before," Moreno commented. Later, while she was testifying, he asked Hilton what My New BFF meant.

She explained, and Moreno quipped, "This will be my best case forever."

"You're my best judge forever," Hilton said without batting an eye.

Testimony concluded today, but Letterman Moreno did not issue a ruling. If he finds Hilton

liable, a separate set of proceedings would be held to determine any monetary damages.

Recently signed with Virgin Records Merseyside Byz tell the truth behind, getting their music a music label.

The newly British top charting band has given its credit to former Zero Gravity Lead Singer Cole Carson.

The Lead Singer of Merseyside Byz Aaron Watts revealed,"Me and my mates are huge fan of his (Cole Carson) band Zero Gravity, he has been staying in Merseyside for a long time, we've been writing him letters for lot of time, and in the final letter we wrote our number so that he can contact, and he did and asked us to comeover his place. He is such a god for us, he promoted our band in front of 1,000 peoples just outside L4 and he then made some talks with Music Record Label and next day Virgin Records called us, and our dream came true. One person we really wanna thank is him."
