Idol's Allison Iraheta Rocks to Record Deal

American Idol's resident rocker grrl is back in action.

Following in the footsteps of winner Kris Allenand Rolling Stone cover boy Adam
Lambert,Allison Iraheta has inked a deal with 19 Recordings and her debut album is
due out this fall.

The 17-year-old bright-redhead from Los Angeles finished fourth on the recently concluded eighth season of Idol, stopping short of the finals but winning a legion of fans with her Joplinesque pipes and beyond-her-years musicality.

"I think I'm still in shock that this is happening — getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!" Iraheta said in a statement.

Her deal, first reported by EW.com, comes ahead of what we figure is the inevitable signing by third-placer Danny Gokey to Idolcreator Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment
outfit.

"There's nothing to report just yet" on the Gokey front, a 19 rep said.

Ed Westwick and Rumer Willis pick up awards at Young Hollywood ceremony

Since landing his role as high school lothario Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl last year, British actor Ed Westwick has gained an army of fans. And this week the handsome star's work on the show was recognised by his peers when he was presented with a breakthrough male trophy at a 'young Hollywood' awards ceremony.

Israeli model Bar Refaeli, on glowing form in in a one-shoulder, Notte by Marchesa mini dress with large flower detail on the bodice, was named Hollywood crossover. The gorgeous 24-year-old has done some presenting work this year for MTV and is to make her big screen debut in thriller Session in 2010.

Guests at the annual awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of Hollywood's new generation of film, TV and music stars, included 90210 bombshell AnnaLynne McCord and flame-haired The Wrestleractress Evan Rachel Wood. The 21-year-old cut a stunning figure in black and silver Gucci with black feathered detail on the shoulders, a wide belt, and vertiginous platforms by former Versace designer Brian Atwood.

Megan’s mantra to deal with casting couch

The Transformers star, who was voted World's Sexiest Woman by FHM magazine,
said many leading filmmakers had tried their luck with her during interviews but the 23-year-old has her own way of dealing with them.

‘Any casting couch s**t I''ve experienced has been since I've become famous. It's really so heartbreaking. Some of these people! Like Hollywood legends,’ the Daily Express quoted her as telling Britain's GQ magazine.

‘You think you're going to meet them and you're so excited, like, ''I can't believe this person wants to have a conversation with me,'' and you get there and you realise that's not what they want, at all. It's happened a lot this year actually,’ she added.

Fox further said her male co-stars were no less but a blow to their ego settled them for good.

She explained: ‘There are some guys, talking about actors who have been in the business for a while, who are very egocentric and have been able to sleep with a lot of girls for whatever reason, and because they don't know me they think I'm going to be this little cupcake, this Marilyn Monroe type who's going to bat my eyes and be like a receptacle for them.

‘I just shut them down immediately, right in front of people. It's been so long since someone has told them no, they don't really know how to deal with it. Because of this non-reality they live in, they're f**ked up, psychologically.’

Lindsay Lohan stalks ex-girlfriend Ronson

The on and off relationship between singer-actress Lindsay Lohan and
her ex-girlfriend DJ Samantha Ronson took a new turn with Lohan chasing Ronson
around London as she wanted to talk about "their future together".

The 22-year-old actress followed Ronson, with whom she split from earlier this year,
from club to club Wednesday night, reported femalefirst.co.uk.

Her mission began at the Bloomsbury Ballroom where Ronson and her producer brother Mark were watching Daniel Merriweather perform.

When Lindsay showed up, Mark and Ronson hailed a taxi and fled to exclusive nightspot Bungalow 8. They had reportedly been there less than 20 minutes when Lindsay called Ronson and told her she was on her way to the club to join them for a drink.

Ronson and Mark quickly hailed another cab to Blakes Hotel in Kensington. Hotel sources claim Lindsay arrived minutes later and was finally let in to Ronson's room at 2.30 a.m.

"Short of a restraining order, nothing can ward her (Lohan) off," said a
source.

Fox still coping with her single status

Megan Fox may have been voted the World’s Sexiest Woman but that did not do much for the actress, who is still struggling to cope with her single status

The Transformer star, who split with actor Brian Austin Green after a five-year relationship, reportedly celebrated her birthday all by herself in Hawaii.

The 23-year-old said she is still learning to deal with not having someone looking after her. "Alone. I am not in a committed relationship right now. I really don’t know anything about being single yet, really. I’ve been reading a lot and listening to music and trying just to work on myself,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

"I was with someone from the time I was 18, so I’ve never been forced to take care of myself. I’ve always had someone doing that for me.

"Right now there’s no space in my head for who’s going to be next or how I need to fill my time. I’m just trying to be comfortable with who I am before I get into another relationship.

"(Otherwise) I will be Elizabeth Taylor by the time I’m 60 and I don’t want to do that,’’ she added.

As for Crawford, Ortega says he nailed it at his audition. "He left his apartment at 4:30 a.m. in New York, flew across the U.S. and walked through the door," he recalls. "He was ready, open, no excuses, just dove in. So disciplined. He's colorful, smart, musical, sexy and fun.

Did Ex-Dawson's Creek Show Runner Just Trash Katie Holmes?

No, it isn't 1998. It's just that former Dawson's Creek show runner Tom Kapinos spoke at a Los Angeles Times' Envelope Emmy screening series panel about his current show, Californication, last night, and well, he went off on his former starlets.

In talking about the genesis of Californication, Tom explained: "The idea came out of my own misery of working on Dawson's Creek. I came out here to write screenplays, and I ended up on Dawson's Creek, which was very lucrative and fun, but it was not what I wanted to do."

Tom then went on to seemingly trash Dawson's stars Katie Holmes, James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams. Check this craziness out...

"The experience was miserable," he continued about Dawson's. "But it was a four-year boot camp. It was like going to TV grad school and learning how to run a television show. Anybody on that show who could make a decision was allowed to run it at some point. I inherited the very awkward college years, and I almost ran the show into the ground. But I learned everything that I needed to know about how to run a show."

When the panel moderator asked, "What was it specifically that made it such a challenge?" Tom dropped this bomb: "It was the four monstrous actors at the core of it."

The audience erupted in laughter as Tom continued, saying: "They were very young, and they got very famous, and they made life miserable for any writer or producer on the show."
